Prototype Update, 17 November 2016

At the prototype site at CEPT University in Ahmedabad, we successfully ran 8 cycles of the drying unit processing real solid materials (human feces).

The photo below illustrates the results of the effective drying process. The end product that you see is a batch of “chips” that will be used as fuel in our combustion system.

We also continue to test, develop, and refine our drying unit back in the US (in our testing lab at RTI International). As in Ahmedabad, we also use real solid materials in our tests.

This parallel testing and refinement of our system, allows us to adapt to any changes or obstacles we encounter during "real world" use.

Below, you can a view a video of our lab unit’s automated drying cycle completing, and then restarting. There are also pictures of the resultant "chips”, awaiting combustion.
